Laine Scams a Lolli

On Saturdays, Laine and I would drop Mathew off for Guitar lessons at Gelb Music Studio in Redwood city, across the road from Saquoia Highschool.  Prior to his 1PM lesson, we would often have lunch somewhere in Redwood city.  Pho, sandwiches, burritos.  The sandwich spot is called “Ike’s Lair” on the corner of Broadway and El Camino Real.  If you order a sandwich, you get a tasty treat, a lollipop (green lollipop, coated in caramel).  Laine loved these lollipops.  It was her main motivation to go to Ike’s.  But occasionally we would go elsewhere (e.g. Pho Dong on Broadway).  What to do?  Laine would manage to walk past Ike’s and just “stop in to say hi”.  There, she would talk to the nice man, and manage to emerge with a lollipop.  In this video, she had done exactly that.  We are sitting on the logs in the field at Saquoia Highschool.  On other occasions, we would walk over to Peet’s coffee on Broadway near the train station while she sucked down her scammed lolli.
